In this exciting ensemble, Jitka Vlašánková, cellist of the world renowned Martinů Quartet joins prize-winning duo Angus Meryon (clarinet) and Richard Saxel (piano). They have given highly acclaimed performances around the UK, in Prague, and notably at St.David’s Hall in Cardiff.

The Meryon Trio were featured as selected artists in the 2009 / 2010 Concert Promoters Network brochure, and proved to be an extremely popular ensemble with the music societies who booked them through the scheme. They toured Scotland on an Enterprise Music Scotland tour in 2010, and will venture further afield in 2011, with a concert at the Victoria International Arts Festival in Gozo in June 2011.

This season, they will also tour the West Country in March, giving a series of recitals and workshops at Bristol University, Minehead and West Somerset Arts Society and Curry Rivel Music Club.
